I like to juggle, and the derby hat seemed to go with the balls. I didn't draw three balls because I got bored with it - a recurring theme!
This is a rubbing that I made from my great grandfather's grave marker in Camp Hill Cemetery in Halifax.
I like the graphic quality of this photo. I took it in France in 2007. I will probably not turn it into a sketch but I think it works as a photograph.

These colours are typical of Province. I don't remember where this scene was other than the south of France, 2007.

MacLaren came to live with us while we were working in Ottawa. He is quite the Nationalist.
I run hot and cold on this graphite and erasure drawing. I don't know why, or if, I like it. I wouldn't hang it on my wall though!
